EPAP SIG proudly presents Sam Gravell in “Expanding your Business English Toolbox"

In the world of corporate language and communication training, learners don’t just want to study English—they need to use it as a real-world tool for thinking, collaborating, and performing. This talk explores how business English training can be transformed by integrating tools and practices that professionals already use in their daily work. Drawing on insights from coaching, facilitation, and task-based language teaching, we’ll explore how to shift from TEFL style lessons to dynamic sessions that reflect the fast-paced, unpredictable, and outcome-focused nature of real business life. Participants will leave with practical ways to structure communication, enhance reflection, develop critical thinking, and build language in context—all while responding to the immediate challenges and goals of learners. Whether it’s planning a meeting, solving a problem, or giving feedback, this approach helps learners develop not only their English, but their ability to work more effectively in it.
