SIG Mission:

The constant changes in technology have transformed the way we deal with education. This change provides us with new opportunities to find tools to improve our practice as teachers and improve our efficiency outside the classroom.

Our Mission:

Bring to light EdTech tools to provide the BRAZ-TESOL community with engaging practices.

Our aims:

  • Periodically assess areas where educational technology can have a potentail impact, whether it's in training programs, curriculum development, or other initiatives.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate technological tools that align with our members' goals and budget. This includes learning management systems (LMSs), virtual classrooms, interactive content tools, and more.
  • Collaborate to formulate a comprehensive strategy for implementing and integrating educational technology in the classrooms as well as with private teachers. This will ensure that our approach is coherent, effective, and sustainable.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of the implemented technologies and make necessary adjustments based on feedback of our members.
  • Build bridges between academic studies and classroom practice with events moderated by the EdTech team with researchers, teachers and other professionals.
