Eduardo Mazzeu

Eduardo Mazzeu a freelance English teacher with 17 years of experience, specialized in one-to-one lessons tailored to students? specific needs. Eduardo develops his own teaching materials and focus on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), with particular emphasis on the healthcare sector. He is currently the leader of the BRAZ-TESOL Rio de Janeiro Chapter, where he aims to contribute to teacher development and professional networking initiatives.

RIcardo Bruns

Ricardo Bruns is a certified Business English Trainer with over 25 years of multicultural corporate experience. He specializes in empowering professionals to communicate effectively and achieve career success through tailored, evidence-based strategies. As a dedicated teacher trainer and mentor, Ricardo supports ESP/BE educators in refining their teaching practices. An active advocate for ELT communities, he has held leadership roles in BRAZ-TESOL?s BESIG and ESP SIG and currently serves on the EPAP SIG board. He also collaborates with international networks, including IATEFL BESIG and Latin American associations like APIBA. Bridging theory and practice, Ricardo is committed to fostering growth for both learners and educators in the field of English language teaching.

RIcardo BrunsCoordinator

Ana Ligia Barbosa de Carvalho e Silva

Ana Lígia Barbosa de Carvalho e Silva is an English instructor in the Department of Languages at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil. She holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Linguistic Studies at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil, with a visiting scholar period at Teachers College, Columbia University. She actively participates in various research groups, including the Aeronautical English Study Group (GEIA), the International Civil Aviation English Association (ICAEA) Research Group, the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) Aviation Language Assessment SIG, and the BRAZ-TESOL Assessment and EPAP SIGs. Her research interests focus on language assessment for professional purposes.

Lorena Luna

Lorena is an English teacher specializing in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and in preparation courses for academic proficiency exams at the master's and doctoral levels. She has over ten years of experience in the field of ESP and has been dedicated to exam preparation for graduate programs for the past seven years. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Linguistics.

Isabel Badra

Isabel is a Business English teacher, content creator, and founder of her own language coaching business. She has been teaching English since 2017 and brings a strong academic background with a degree in Business, a CELTA certification, and a CPE. Isabel specializes in helping professionals communicate with clarity and confidence in the workplace. In addition to working with students, she also mentors other teachers who are looking to enter the field of Business English, sharing practical insights and strategies from her own experience. Her approach is practical, strategic, and focused on real-world communication ? both in and beyond the classroom.
