Executive Board Members
PRESIDENT - Represents BRAZ-TESOL at events and in law; calls the annual General Meeting, Extraordinary General Meetings and meetings of the Executive; directs the work of the Association, and nominates work groups, as necessary; acts as a link between BRAZ-TESOL and similar national and international organizations; assists the incoming Executive Board during the next term of office.
VICE PRESIDENT - Responsible for coordinating national events, assisting the President in all his/her duties, and substituting the President in his/her absence - temporary or indefinite. The Vice President automatically assumes the presidency of BRAZ-TESOL after two years in the vice presidency.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR - Responsible for promoting membership, producing the quarterly magazine and for organizing other BRAZ-TESOL publications, and coordinating all media and communications activity of the Association.
MEMBERS DIRECTOR - Responsible for communicating directly with SIGs and Chapters and keeping them aware of all directives of the Association, dealing with all correspondence, notifying all members of meetings and events, writing and keeping the minutes of all meetings, and acting as the DPO - Data Protection Officer - of the Association.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR - Responsible for keeping the records of the organization's financial affairs, ensuring the collection of Association fees, and preparing financial reports and presenting them at the Annual General Meeting.
Advisory Council
It is formed by the six elected members above, plus past BRAZ-TESOL Presidents. They are members of BRAZ-TESOL who share the ideals and aims of the organization, advise the Executive Board on major issues of policy and who support the Board in the fulfillment of goals of the organization.
