Meaningful Learning, Real Connections
BRAZ-TESOL Santa Catarina Chapter, in partnership with UNESC, will host a face-to-face professional development event on April 18th, at UNESC – Criciúma (SC).
Under the theme “Meaningful Learning, Real Connections,” the event brings together English language teachers, teacher educators, and university students for an afternoon of talks, workshops, and discussions focused on pedagogical practices that promote meaningful learning and authentic connections in the classroom.
The program will include a plenary session, hands-on workshops, and a closing round table, creating a space for dialogue, reflection, and exchange between school and university contexts. While not centered on technology, the event also acknowledges current educational challenges — including the role of AI — as part of a broader conversation about intentional, human-centered teaching.
This event is designed to strengthen professional connections, foster collaboration, and support the continuous development of English language educators in the region.
