Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Bilingual Contexts

This full-day event will bring together educators, researchers, and professionals for critical discussions grounded in real practice. Key themes will include teacher training, the role of artificial intelligence, coursebook design, pronunciation, curriculum development, public school realities, assessment, and inclusive practices. Rather than remaining at the level of theory, the event is structured to generate concrete strategies and applicable insights for advancing equity in bilingual education.
The program will conclude with a roundtable featuring neurodiverse and culturally diverse families, centered on the quality of dialogue between families and schools. This exchange will critically examine how listening practices, power dynamics, and institutional structures can either enable or limit genuine collaboration—an essential condition for advancing equity and inclusion in practice.
