MBE Xchange presents: Construction grammar for classroom practices

Many language teachers have tried to separate their activities and focus according to the word class - vocabulary classes, grammar classes, conversation classes. This a Chomskyan perspective and it doesn’t generate good results in terms of proficiency. A Construction is composed by not only words but also by the relation they have among themselves and they have a symbolism. How do our students replicate Constructions in different contexts? How does that happen? What can we do in our classroom practices to make our students use Constructions and generalize them to describe the world they live in?
In this MBE Xchange, we bring Professor Martin Hilpert for a special session where all are invited to join, ask questions and share experiences.
